The Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to assist with the print and digital publication of the Molyvoti, Thrace, Archaeological Project, a co-operation between the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, represented by Princeton University, and the Rhodope Ephorate of Antiquities. The archaeological project in Aegean Thrace consisted of surface survey; the excavation of two Classical houses with Late Roman re-occupation; the excavation of a Hellenistic temple. The project is diachronic in scope, from Early Archaic - Ottoman. Requirements: -PhD in Classical Archaeology or a related field with demonstrated familiarity with Greek and Roman material culture. -Attention to detail, familiarity with editing texts, ability to communicate and collaborate well with authors and specialists, interest in print publications and in digital humanities. -Ability to travel to Greece 2-4 times a year for 1-2 weeks per visit. Appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
