The Department of Classics at the University of Florida is seeking a Director of Distance Learning for their online MA and PhD programs. This 12-month appointment is renewable at 0.75 FTE with benefits. The start date is January 1, 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Department of Classical Studies at the University of Florida invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mediterranean archaeology, with expertise in Greek and/or Roman archaeology, Egyptology, or related fields, to begin August 16, 2026.

The Department of Classics and Letters in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Classical Archaeology. Preference will be given to candidates whose primary focus is the archaeology of the ancient Greek world, from the Bronze Age to late antiquity. Candidates with interests in Archaeological Science (e.g., Paleoclimatology, Bioarchaeology/Zooarchaeology, Materials Analysis, Digital Technologies) are also encouraged to consider applying.

Bilkent University’s Faculty of Humanities and Letters announces multiple openings in the Program in Cultures, Civilizations & Ideas (CCI). The Program is staffed by an interdisciplinary and international team of scholars in the humanities, including but not limited to classics, history, literature, and philosophy. CCI is primarily responsible for teaching a mandatory two-semester sequence of courses in literature and philosophy to undergraduates majoring in a variety of fields. All candidates should have an active research agenda.

Requirements:

Western Michigan University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of World Languages and Literatures with expertise in Greek, Latin, and classical philosophy at its main campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is a full-time, academic-year, tenure-track, joint appointment shared between two departments.
