Thesaurus Linguae Latinae Fellowship: an Informational Webinar

Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the TLL and the Biggs Family Foundation, the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae Fellowship will continue for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Fellowship is a unique opportunity for scholars of Classics and related fields to conduct complex lexicographical research. This webinar will aim to demystify the process of applying for the Fellowship and shed light on the details of living in Munich and working at the TLL. It will feature contributions from many recent fellows including Elizabeth Palazzolo (2017-18), Charles Kuper (2018-20), Amy Koenig (2020-21), Adam Trettel (2021-22), Martin Shedd (2022-24), Hannah Sorscher (2024-25) and Chris van den Berg (Amherst, TLL Fellowship Selection Committee Chair), who will talk about their experiences at the TLL and in Munich, and how the TLL has influenced their subsequent careers. The webinar is aimed at potential applicants and graduate advisors.

  • Living in Munich (including with a family)
  • The social and working environments of the TLL
  • Other research opportunities in Munich
  • How the TLL fellowship can benefit your academic career
