The University of Oklahoma’s Department of Classics and Letters invites applications for a full-time Instructor or Lecturer in Latin. We seek a candidate with proven pedagogical skills, particularly in Latin language instruction, who will advocate for and strengthen the department’s classical languages program as well as coordinate outreach to teachers and students at the secondary level. The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester, primarily Beginning and Intermediate Latin, and eventually Medical Vocabulary. In future semesters, there may be an opportunity to teach classes in Greek language, Classical Mythology, and/or Classical Culture. This is a renewable, benefits-eligible position. The appointment will usually be a three-year term in the first instance and will begin in Fall of 2024.
