The Department of Classical Studies at Dickinson College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2024-25 school year. The successful applicant will teach the two-semester introductory Ancient Greek sequence and Greek History. The ability to teach a course on the ancient world in film is desirable. Other teaching opportunities include intermediate and advanced Greek and Latin, or courses in translation in the candidate’s area of specialization. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate. The position carries a five-course teaching load.

It is in Carlisle, PA, 20 minutes west of Harrisburg and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, DC, and Philadelphia.
