Hesperides is delighted to share that they have been able to organize another Rare Books workshop on the classical tradition—similar to the 2023 Annual Meeting—with Chicago's iconic Newberry Library through its Center for Renaissance Studies, available to SCS 2024 Annual Meeting attendees.

Event Date: Thursday, January 4th, 2:00–3:30PM

Location: Newberry Library, Chicago (Google Maps)

Event Title: "Rare Books Workshop: Classical Legacies in the Early Modern Luso-Hispanic World at the Newberry Library"

Number of Attendees Allowed: 20 maximum

As this is an offsite event, a shuttle bus has been arranged to provide roundtrip transportation from the Hilton Chicago (the site of the Annual Meeting), and back at the following times:

Departure from the Hilton on Jan. 4th at 1:30 pm.
Departure from the Newberry Library back to the hotel on Jan. 4th will be between 3:45-4:00pm
